International Competition for Classical Guitar Acad. Marin Goleminov
The International Competition for Classical Guitar Acad. Marin Goleminov is held annually in April under the patronage of the Mayor of Kyustendil. The artistic director is Ivan Andonov and the technical director - Svetlin Kirilov.
The competition is open to all interested guitarists from the country and abroad. On its last fifteenth edition in 2011, over 500 guitarists from Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, Greece, Ukraine, Russia, England, Norway and others took part.
The guests and the jury are the most prominent and renowned composers, guitarists and teachers from Bulgaria and abroad. During the competition days there are a lot of lectures and solo concerts by famous musicians.
