The Peak of Ruen
Ruen is the highest peak (2251 m) in Osogovo mountain and is the fifth highest peak in Bulgaria. The border with Republic Macedonia passes through it. It is among the hundred national tourist sites. The peak has a rounded form and is covered with grass.
The summit can be reached on various marked routes - from hut Osogovo (about 3 h and 50 minutes walking) or complex Tri Buki (3 h and 30 minutes on foot).
It is about 37 km from Kyustendil to the peak of Ruen.
