The Geyser in Sapareva Banya
The geyser in Sapareva Banya is one of the hottest in the world (103o). It is the only one in continental Europe and it is the most temperamental in the world – it erupts at intervals of 5-6 sec. and is the easiest to approach.
It was found in 1957, when drilling. Its capacity is 18 l/sec. The height of the water column is 18 meters and rises from a depth of 75 m.
During the summer evenings many multi-colored lights are tuned on, making it very impressive.
It is about 59 km from Kyustendil to the geyser.
